Position: QA Analyst
Main Responsibilities:
- Analyse and review functional requirements and technical designs, ensuring their testability and quality coverage.
- Design, document, and maintain test plans and test cases, both functional and non-functional.
- Execute functional, regression, and white-box tests, as applicable to the project.
- Design, develop, and execute automated tests at the API and UI level, and support unit tests.
- Perform basic code reviews in VB.NET and C#, focusing on quality risks and early defect detection.
- Execute queries in SQL Server (T-SQL) for test data preparation, result validation, and incident analysis.
- Utilise unit testing frameworks from the .NET ecosystem to support technical and developer testing.
- Record, classify, and follow up on identified defects, coordinating their resolution with the development team.
- Coordinate with end users and business areas for the planning and execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Prepare test result reports, quality metrics, and recommendations aimed at continuous improvement.
- Actively participate in agile ceremonies and practices (daily, planning, review, and retrospective) within Scrum or Kanban teams.
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in QA/Software Testing roles.
- Experience in designing and executing functional and non-functional tests.
- Experience working under agile methodologies such as Scrum and/or Kanban.
- Design and execution of functional, regression, and white-box tests.
- Preparation of test plans and test cases (functional and non-functional).
- Use of SQL Server (T-SQL) for data validation and test support.
- Basic code review knowledge in VB.NET and/or C#.
- Use of unit testing frameworks from the .NET ecosystem (MSTest/TestMethod or other equivalents).
- Management and follow-up of incidents, defects, and issues related to software quality.
- High analytical capacity, attention to detail, and critical thinking.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to generate clear, organised, and traceable documentation of test plans, evidence, and results.
- Orientation towards collaborative work, achievement of objectives, and continuous improvement.
- Good organisation and time management, ensuring compliance with milestones and deliverables.
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience with test management and agile management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Test Plans, or similar.
- Knowledge of test automation tools (Selenium, Postman, or other equivalents).
- Basic knowledge of monitoring and performance tools to support non-functional testing.
- Understanding of accessibility, usability, and user experience (UX).
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data quality validation (for data-oriented projects).
- ISTQB Certified Tester – Foundation Level certification.
