Lead a Team That Keeps Critical Operations Moving

The role

As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will take ownership of warehouse operations and lead a dedicated team of up to 20, working alongside another supervisor at the heart of our supply chain. Your leadership will ensure that essential equipment and materials are stored, managed and delivered safely and efficiently, supporting vital defence, aerospace and engineering programmes across the UK.

Day-to-day you will be required to:

  • Lead, support and develop a team of warehouse operatives to deliver safe, efficient daily operations.
  • Oversee effective storage, stock control and inventory accuracy across the warehouse.
  • Manage warehouse processes, ensuring they meet safety, quality and operational standards.
  • Provide first-line people management, including coaching, performance management and employee relations.
  • Ensure the team has the resources, tools and processes needed to deliver excellent results.

Please note that this position involves manual work. This could include lifting, bending, using tools or standing for extended periods of time.

This is a full-time position, 39 hours per week, based onsite at our Walsall site. Working pattern: Monday–Thursday 7am–4pm, Friday 7am–12pm. Overtime opportunities available.

Essential experience of the Warehouse Supervisor:

  • Confident user of Microsoft Office, Outlook, SharePoint and MRP systems such as NAVISION or SAP.
  • Proven experience managing individuals and small teams.
  • Ability to work dynamically, meet deadlines and multi-task effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to challenge and hold difficult conversations where needed.
  • Capability to analyse information and make sound, rational decisions.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) and NPPV security clearance for this role.
