You can expect real world encounters and exposure to exciting projects that will really help you navigate where you want to take your career.

Across your placements, you’ll work through the full Babcock Lifecycle – from analysing opportunities and shaping proposals, through negotiating terms and managing contracts, to ensuring compliance and working closely with legal teams. Whether you're contributing to bids in Civil Nuclear, managing contracts for essential aviation services, or supporting long-term capability in our Marine sector, every project will offer fresh perspectives and valuable skills.

This is a two-year programme made up of four placements, each lasting six months. You’ll move between different areas of the business, exploring how our Commercial teams operate across various sectors and locations. By the end of the programme, you’ll have a strong foundation for an exciting and accelerated career – and a clearer view of where you want to take it.

From day one, you’ll receive structured support, training, and dedicated mentorship to help you be your best throughout your programme and beyond. You’ll join our Graduate Development Programme, featuring expert-led masterclasses on communication, personal branding, resilience, and wellbeing. We’ll also support you in working towards professional membership and chartered status with the World Commerce and Contracting (WorldCC) Association – providing funding, guidance and mentoring throughout your career journey.

We’ll support you as you grow into more senior roles and take on greater responsibility. Through the Babcock Role Framework, you’ll have a clear view of how your career can progress, with mapped-out pathways, development opportunities and the tools you need to get wherever you want to go.

We want you to feel supported, valued and excited about what’s ahead. That’s why we offer a comprehensive package designed to support your development, your wellbeing and your life outside of work too. In addition to a minimum starting salary of £35,000, you’ll benefit from:
