The role
As a Test Analyst, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Join our team and work with advanced systems that ensure the operational readiness of the Submarine fleet. Play a key role in supporting critical maritime operations, contributing to the success of complex engineering solutions. Day-to-day, you’ll conduct testing of essential applications to ensure submarine capability, reliability, and operational effectiveness. Verify system performance and functionality to support mission readiness. Review requirements and design documents to create test estimates, plans, cases, and scripts for functional and non-functional testing. Execute systems tests, ensuring coverage of both functional and non-functional aspects. Use test tools like Test Rail, Azure DevOps, and Selenium for efficient test execution. Facilitate discussions between Systems Test and UAT to define scope and coverage.
This role is full time 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Test Analyst
- Expertise in software application testing, covering both functional and non-functional aspects.
- Proficiency in Test Rails, Azure DevOps, and Selenium.
- Hands-on experience with API, backend, and performance testing, including relevant tools.
- Strong knowledge of SQL for database validation and testing.

Qualifications for the Test Analyst
- Must hold ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualification Board) Foundation Level certification, confirming expertise as a certified Software Tester.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
