Salary: Circa Β£63,000 plus executive car allowance depending on skills and experience.

What you'll be doing:

  • Providing strategic leadership to a team of professional buyers supporting the Dreadnought Programme.
  • Ensuring timely, cost-effective procurement of high-volume items to required quality standards.
  • Collaborating cross functionally to address and resolve challenges.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve material availability.
  • Representing BAE Submarines in high-level communications with supplier executive boards.

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Proven senior-level supply chain experience with strengths in project management, product insight, commercial strategy, engineering acumen, and financial awareness.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with a proven ability to thrive in dynamic environments and resolve issues at root cause.
  • Proven capability in assuming leadership responsibilities across complex projects.
  • Open to undertaking business travel as required.

Desirable:

  • MCIPS Qualification.

The Dreadnought Commodities team:

The Dreadnought Programme is at a pivotal and exhilarating stage, with manufacturing accelerating and the demand for timely material supply more critical than ever. As part of our team, you'll play a key role in ensuring that momentum is maintained. The role of our suppliers in supporting this National Endeavour is key, and you'll be instrumental in shaping and strengthening these essential relationships. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
