Overview
As Ship Manager at our Rosyth site, you lead critical outfit installation delivery on the Type 31 programme, enabling Royal Navy capability.
You guide cross‑functional teams to deliver safe, on‑time vessel acceptance while shaping naval engineering practices.

Responsibilities
- Lead safe delivery of outfit installation through to vessel acceptance
- Develop and execute delivery strategies aligned with programme objectives
- Manage multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors to hit performance, quality and schedule targets
- Drive operational efficiency, continuous improvement and safety culture
- Forecast and manage resources, budgets and project priorities with stakeholders
- Key requirements
- Significant leadership experience in shipbuilding, defence, marine, engineering or construction environments
- Experience managing large multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors within complex delivery programmes
- Strong background in project delivery, planning, resource management and operational performance
- Experience managing budgets, controls and commercial considerations
- Knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation, risk assessment, operational planning and full construction lifecycle delivery through to commissioning
