Looking to gain experience in quality assurance across a diverse range of naval defence projects? Join our 2-year Quality Technician Apprenticeship and you’ll be a valuable part of shaping the future of defence technology. Our Quality Discipline is here to fully support our customers by assuring the quality of our products, services, systems and processes. In this hands-on role, you’ll work with teams based in Bristol and Plymouth to provide vital quality assurance. Rotating through placements focused on supplier, manufacturing, project and systems quality, you’ll gain well-rounded expertise. Your tasks could include: – Supporting senior quality practitioners to formulate the quality strategy – Inspecting and testing parts and products – Planning and conducting audits – Developing quality control plans – Managing supplier relationships – Analysing data to identify improvements – Guiding and supporting others to improve quality competency and performance – Developing documents to support new projects. With guidance and support from experienced professionals, you’ll play a crucial role in assuring that our naval vessels and infrastructure meet the highest quality standards. What you’ll need – A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or higher (or equivalent). – 2 A Levels (Maths and Science desirable) at grade C or above or equivalent. – Many of our early careers roles are subject to Security Clearance and Trade Control restrictions which mean that your place of birth, nationality, citizenship, or residency you hold or have held may impact which roles you are eligible for. For our early careers roles, you must be able to achieve BPSS and many of them require you to be eligible for Security Clearance.
