Overview
As Production Hub Lead at Devonport, you will steer a central hub that assembles skilled pipe and reactor fitter resources to support the UK submarine programme. You’ll build and lead a new team, drive productivity and continuous improvement, and influence how critical engineering work is delivered across the business. Responsibilities
- Lead daily operation of the production hub to deploy skilled resources effectively for programme delivery
- Chair planning and look-ahead meetings with stakeholders to set priorities and maintain delivery schedules
- Collaborate with production and capability teams to develop workforce competence, skills and succession planning
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, productivity, efficiency and cost performance
- Build and maintain relationships with project teams and production managers, providing regular updates and managing resource priorities
Key requirements
- Experience leading or managing teams with varying levels of technical experience
- Experience in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, production or maintenance environments
- Proven ability to coordinate resources and prioritise work for operational objectives
- Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders across a complex organisation
