Overview
In this role you will ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery while supporting colleagues across the business. You’ll handle complex payroll cases, guide team members, and contribute to a function that underpins critical defence and nuclear programmes. You will work within a collaborative People Centre to drive quality, data integrity, and continuous improvement. This is a role with a clear impact on people processes and payroll accuracy in a high-security environment.

Responsibilities
- Manage complex payroll and people administration cases to resolution
- Support weekly payroll activities ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness
- Maintain employee records with up-to-date data
- Provide expert guidance on payroll and people processes to colleagues and stakeholders
- Lead by example and support Payroll Administrators to drive high standards and customer service
Key requirements
- Experience in payroll environment delivering weekly or monthly payroll
- Strong payroll administration with emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, complex spreadsheets)
- Experience maintaining employee data in a busy admin setting
- Experience supporting colleagues and sharing knowledge in a team
