Technical Skills:
- In depth knowledge of TCP/IP networks, IP Protocols and exposure to all layers of the OSI model.
- Strong experience of routing protocols, tunneling protocols and experience of working with complex networks, following best practices and strict security guidelines.
- Maintain performance of networks using appropriate network monitoring systems or vendor tools.
- Previous demonstrable management of maintaining wide area networks.
- In-depth networking experience including configuring multiple vendor firewalls, enterprise routers and datacentre switches.
- Network configuration and storage configurations for HPC.
- Experience of working with common operating systems such as Windows Server, Linux/RHEL.
- Server hardware/blade enclosure configuration experience.
- Exposure to Storage Area Networks, Virtualization products such as VMWare ESXi and VDI solutions with accelerated storage.
Necessary Experience/Qualifications Specification:
- Certified to a Cisco CCNA or CCNP Datacentre standard, with at least 6 years experience working in complex network environments.
Desirable:
- Experience of EVPN-VXLAN frameworks.
- Previous exposure to Load Balancing.
