Overview
As Information Security Lead, you will steer information security assurance across major Defence Nuclear Programme infrastructure at Devonport. You’ll shape risk, compliance and governance across delivery lifecycles, partnering with project teams, engineers and senior stakeholders. Your work will influence design decisions and audit readiness, helping to meet MOD and corporate security standards. This role offers meaningful impact on national security through secure digital and OT systems.

Responsibilities
- Lead information security assurance across multiple major infrastructure programmes
- Develop and maintain assurance plans aligned with delivery frameworks
- Interpret and apply MOD, regulatory and corporate security standards
- Own assurance artefacts including risk registers, control mappings and evidence
- Engage with stakeholders and assurance bodies, including MOD audits and reviews
Key requirements
- Proven experience delivering information security assurance in defence or highly regulated environments
- Strong knowledge of UK government and MOD security standards and frameworks
- Demonstrated capability in information security risk management and assurance documentation
- Experience supporting complex programmes through assurance and governance activities
- Confidence in influencing multidisciplinary teams and engaging with senior stakeholders
