If you join us, you can play your part as a Gas Engineer at Minley, near Blackwater, Hampshire.The roleAs a Gas Engineer, you'll deliver planned, reactive and remedial maintenance across a diverse estate, supporting heating, ventilation, water hygiene, sanitary and drainage systems. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same, offering the chance to work on a broad range of mechanical systems while contributing to an environment that supports national capability and operational readiness.Day-to-day you'll be required to:Carry out planned preventative maintenance, inspections and statutory compliance checks on gas and mechanical systemsRepair, service and fault-find on commercial boilers and associated equipmentSupport mechanical asset replacement projects, upgrades and refurbishment activitiesMaintain stock levels and inventory for mechanical maintenance activitiesUndertake plumbing maintenance and repairs as required across the estatePlease note that this position involves manual work. This could include lifting, bending, using tools or standing for extended periods of time.The role is based onsite at Minley, and the set working times are Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, and Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm, totalling 40 hours per week. An on-call rota will be required after six months in post.Essential experience of the Gas Engineer:Proven experience working as a Commercial Gas EngineerExperience servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial gas systems and boilersStrong fault-finding and diagnostic skillsExperience delivering planned and reactive maintenance activitiesAbility to work independently and safely within a busy operational environmentQualifications for the Gas Engineer:COCN1 or CODNCO1 Core Commercial Natural Gas Safety qualificationFull UK Manual Driving LicenceSecurity ClearanceThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
