The role:

As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring that some of the United Kingdom’s most complex engineering programmes meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Working within our Marine sector, you’ll help drive continuous improvement and quality excellence across projects that support national defence and critical infrastructure.

This position offers a significant opportunity within Rosyth Advanced Manufacturing division, where delivery of high standards, ensuring compliance across all activities and support of critical manufacturing processes.

Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:

  • Deliver quality assurance activities and provide day-to-day guidance across projects
  • Conduct internal, supplier, and customer audits in line with the audit schedule
  • Develop and improve quality processes and procedures across programmes
  • Lead detailed quality investigations and support corrective actions
  • Analyse quality data and produce reports to identify trends and drive improvement

This role is full time, 36 hours per week Monday to Friday and is based on site at Rosyth.

Essential experience:

  • Demonstrable experience in quality assurance within an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading or supervising quality activities or teams
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and standards
  • Proven ability to review, improve, and implement processes
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Qualifications:

  • Qualified to a recognised trade standard with a relevant academic qualification such as HNC or SVQ Level 3
  • Lead Auditor qualification
  • Membership or working towards membership of the Chartered Quality Institute desirable

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
