Overview
In this role you will lead risk and opportunity management across bids, programmes and delivery. You will operate within the Project Management Office to strengthen governance, forecasting and decision-making on complex programmes. You’ll influence major programmes, collaborate with senior stakeholders and drive continuous improvement in risk practices. You will help develop capability and support delivery of strategically important projects aligned with a safe, secure world. Responsibilities
- Lead risk and opportunity management across bids, programmes and project delivery
- Develop and maintain risk models, forecasting tools and governance processes
- Coordinate risk reviews, maintain risk registers, and produce performance reports
- Collaborate with Project Managers and multi-disciplinary teams to promote best-practice risk management
- Drive continuous improvement in risk management standards across the organisation
- Oversee a small team of direct reports and a larger matrix team
Key requirements
- Significant experience in risk and opportunity management within strategic programmes and project-based environments
- Experience developing and managing risk models and cost forecasting tools
- Experience supporting bids, tenders and project delivery through risk modelling and analysis
- Experience working with Project Managers and stakeholders on complex, multi-disciplinary projects
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement capabilities; able to present risk information to senior audiences including senior customer stakeholders
- Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or related discipline or equivalent experience
- Security Clearance capability (SC) for the role
