The role
As a Commercial Specialist, you will be at the heart of a major nuclear decommissioning project, supporting high-value contract change activities with our end client. Day-to-day, you will play a key role in:
- Identifying and mitigating risks
- Managing compensation events
- Ensuring financial viability throughout the lifecycle of commercial quotes
- Guiding multi-disciplinary teams to mitigate future commercial risks
- Applying NEC principles to ensure contractual compliance
- Collaborating with stakeholders across the project to drive commercial success
- Supporting head contract change activities, including early warnings and compensation events
- Reviewing and managing quotes to ensure financial viability
This is a permanent role, working 37 hours per week, based at Warrington (Cheshire) or Bristol. Hybrid working patterns are available, with 2–3 days in the office.
Essential experience of the Commercial Specialist:
- Strong working knowledge of NEC principles
- Experience working on regulated sites
- Familiarity with NEC guidelines in a project environment
- Previous experience in a commercial role, with change management exposure
- Proven ability to guide multi-disciplinary teams and mitigate commercial risks
Qualifications for the Commercial Specialist:
- Relevant commercial or business qualification or equivalent experience
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
