The Role
As a Senior Project Planner, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll play a pivotal role in delivering high-profile defence and marine programmes that support national security and international partnerships. Working within our Mission Systems business, you'll lead the planning and schedule management approach for complex projects, ensuring alignment between project delivery, financial planning, and resource requirements.

You'll work alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative environment while developing your own leadership capability and career within one of the UK's leading aerospace, defence, and engineering organisations.
Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
- Develop and maintain robust integrated project schedules across complex programmes.
- Collaborate with Control Account Managers, project controllers, and senior stakeholders to support delivery objectives.
- Drive schedule performance measurement and provide insight to improve project outcomes.
- Embed governance, assurance, and best practice throughout project planning activities.
- Mentor and support junior planners while championing a culture of delivery excellence.
37 hours per week, based at Ashton House. Hybrid working patterns are available.
Essential experience of the Senior Project Planner:
- Extensive experience in a planning role within defence, engineering, infrastructure, or other complex project environments.
- Advanced proficiency using Primavera P6 planning software.
- Experience supporting Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis, including Monte Carlo techniques.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain project governance documentation and planning frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
