The role:
As a Licensed Aircraft Engineer, you will have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will play a critical role in delivering safe, efficient, and compliant aircraft maintenance. From line and depth maintenance to engineering support services, you will ensure every task meets or exceeds customer expectations and fulfils LAFT2 contractual commitments.
Day-to-day, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Ensure airworthiness of all aircraft, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
- Supervise inspectors and technicians across line and hangar operations.
- Uphold health and safety standards, meeting all regulatory requirements.
- Report to line management and stakeholders in line with company policies and procedures.
- Train, mentor, and develop staff, fostering capability and performance.
This role is full time working 40 hours per week and is based on site at RAF Aldergrove, Crumlin.
Essential experience of the Licensed Aircraft Engineer:
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, delivering practical solutions.
- Proficient IT skills (desirable).
- Technical competence with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Engages proactively with customers and stakeholders, fostering collaboration and trust.
Qualifications for the Licensed Aircraft Engineer:
- Strong understanding of customer contract partnerships and alliance management.
- CAA Part 66 B1.2 licence holder.
- Proven supervisory experience in civil and/or military aviation environments.
- Ability to demonstrate both practical and theoretical technical standards.
- Valid driving licence.
