The role involves being embedded within one of our Mission Systems production programmes, supporting the successful delivery of complex engineering projects. This is a highly visible role where your coordination, organisation and problem‑solving skills will directly influence project outcomes that matter to national security and customer success.
You will work closely with manufacturing, engineering and commercial teams, gaining hands‑on exposure to the full project lifecycle while building strong stakeholder relationships. Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
- Support planning, scheduling, cost control and risk management activities across production programmes
- Coordinate work packages and monitor progress to ensure delivery against agreed plans
- Work collaboratively with manufacturing, engineering and procurement teams to drive momentum
- Engage with internal stakeholders to communicate progress, issues and mitigation actions
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance delivery performance
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 4 days onsite and 1 day working from home.
Essential experience:
- Experience working within a project management or delivery environment
- Understanding of the project lifecycle from planning through to delivery
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work to deadlines, schedules and changing priorities
- Confidence working collaboratively within multi‑disciplinary teams
Qualifications:
- Project Management qualification or equivalent experience (PFQ and/or PMQ desirable)
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Must be Sole UK National.
