The role

As a Training Analyst Designer, you'll play a key role in helping build the future workforce capabilities that support one of the UK's most important defence environments. Working within the People Capability Enhancement Programme (PCEP), you'll conduct training needs analysis and contribute to the design of effective learning solutions that enable people to perform safely, competently, and successfully in complex engineering and defence settings.

Day-to-day, you'll be required to:

  • Support the initial design activities within the Systems Approach to Training process.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to analyse capability and competency requirements.
  • Identify learning needs and recommend effective training interventions for current and future workforce requirements.
  • Develop competency profiles and training solutions that drive performance and compliance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance workforce capability and training effectiveness.

This role is based at Devonport Royal Dockyard and is 35 hours per week.

Essential experience of the Training Analyst Designer:

  • Experience within a complex engineering, technical, education, or training environment.
  • Strong information technology skills, including Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrable experience analysing business, technical, or learning requirements.
  • Understanding of training compliance requirements and regulated working environments.
  • Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather and interpret requirements.

Qualifications for the Training Analyst Designer:

  • NVQ Level 3, Ordinary National Certificate, or equivalent qualification in a technical discipline.
  • Experience or qualifications relating to learning and development, training design, workforce development, or instructional design.
  • Defence sector experience.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) / Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
