Hours: 40 hours per week; on site at Benson, Oxfordshire

The role

As a Trainee Survival Equipment Technician, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll receive specialist training to maintain and repair critical survival equipment that safeguards pilots throughout their flying training and operational missions.

Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

  • Repair and rectify all aircrew air systems
  • Perform routine maintenance on clothing, parachutes, ELTs, and flotation devices
  • Conduct stock checks and manage consumable supplies
  • Carry out weekly and monthly tool checks and maintain tool control standards
  • Manage sensitive data, asset allocation, and maintenance control systems.

This role is full time and is based on site at Benson, Oxfordshire.

Essential experience

A strong passion for engineering and aviation, with a keen interest in technical innovation and aircraft systems.

Successful candidates must meet Ministry of Defence security clearance requirements, including at minimum a Baseline Security Check and Enhanced DBS.
