The role:
- As a Change Controller, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring that complex engineering projects evolve in a controlled, governed and transparent way.
- This is an exciting, entry‑level‑plus opportunity within a highly structured project environment, offering exposure to real decision‑making, senior stakeholders and industry‑leading governance frameworks.
- Day-to-day, you’ll facilitate controlled changes to the project baseline, ensuring that change is formally assessed, approved, recorded, and implemented in accordance with governance requirements, with full traceability and audit readiness.
- Managing and maintaining accurate change registers, logs and trackers, ensuring full traceability and audit readiness.
- Supporting the assessment, approval and implementation of controlled changes, including impacts to scope, cost, schedule and risk.
- Maintaining project and programme baselines in line with configuration management and governance requirements.
- Producing change‑related reporting, metrics and management insight to highlight trends, risks and decision points.
- Contributing to continuous improvement of change control processes within a collaborative Project Controls function.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2-3 days in the office/onsite and 2-3 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Change Controller:
- Experience maintaining accurate records, logs or trackers within a governed or controlled environment.
- Ability to work autonomously, demonstrating ownership, organisation and accountability.
- Competence using Microsoft Excel and digital document management systems.
- Ability to communicate clearly with internal stakeholders through reports, briefings or written updates.
- Awareness of project, commercial, contract or change control environments within complex organisations.
Qualifications for the Change Controller:
- APM Project Fundamentals Qualification or equivalent.
- Project Planning and Controls Foundation level or equivalent.
