At Cavendish Nuclear, we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together. If you join us, you can play your part as a Head of Mobilisation at our Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, Somerset site. This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance works across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station’s vast network of rooms.

The role involves leading the end-to-end mobilisation of major programmes and contracts, ensuring projects transition seamlessly from concept to operational delivery. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will shape mobilisation strategy, drive cross-functional collaboration, and ensure operational readiness across complex engineering and defence programmes.

This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week and based at our Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, Somerset site.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Leading mobilisation activities across multiple programmes to ensure successful and timely delivery
  • Driving mobilisation strategies, governance, and planning frameworks across projects
  • Coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve operational readiness and performance targets
  • Managing risks, resources, and stakeholder engagement throughout mobilisation phases
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and safety requirements

Essential experience:

  • Demonstrating leadership experience within programme delivery, mobilisation, or project management environments
  • Managing complex, large-scale projects within engineering, defence, or infrastructure sectors
  • Driving stakeholder engagement across senior internal and external partners
  • Applying strong governance, risk management, and delivery frameworks
  • Leading and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in engineering, project management, or a related discipline
  • Project or programme management qualification such as Association for Project Management or equivalent (desirable)
