The role

As a Shift Engineer – Electrical, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll be part of the Facilities and operational management to ensure site standards are compliant and robust. Day-to-day, you’ll supervise a small team working on High Voltage Maintenance you will also:

  • Carry out the role of Authorised Person (AP1), ensuring that the site's High Voltage Distribution System is operated safely, carrying out switching and permit issuing.
  • Supervise/co-ordinate the NRT and the Electrical Utilities maintenance team for the maintenance of site Infrastructure and buildings.
  • Undertake Planned and Corrective maintenance operations.
  • Assist Dockmaster with ship movements when required.
  • Supervise/Co-ordinate any other industrials/contractors when required.

Please note that the successful candidate will be required to pass a targeted medical questionnaire and/or medical examination as a condition of employment for this role. This role is full time, 36 hours per week and is based on site at Rosyth.

Essential experience of the Shift Engineer – Electrical

  • Experience in High Voltage Electrical Works.

Qualifications for the Shift Engineer – Electrical

  • HNC Electrical Engineering.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
