The role
As a Senior Supply Quality Specialist, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. In support of increasingly complex business programmes, the Supplier Quality Team within the Group Procurement & Supply Chain function are responsible for driving quality assurance and improvement associated with the supply of goods and services to the business.
Day-to-day, you’ll spend a high percentage of time working within the supply chain across multiple UK based suppliers, and occasional international based suppliers.
- Quality approval of suppliers and associated assurance activity to ensure suppliers fully comply with contractual requirements, including conducting on-site auditing of suppliers and supporting the flow-down of quality requirements to suppliers, including contract reviews.
- Approval of supplier issued documentation relating to product conformity prior to acceptance by the business.
- Collation and analysis of supplier performance data to enable risk-based decisions built upon data.
- Execution of supplier facing improvement & intervention activities to drive right first-time supply of products and services as part of non-conformance management or broader improvement initiatives.
This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Senior Supply Quality Specialist:
- Experience of delivering quality within a Science, Technical, Engineering and Manufacturing (STEM) environment
- Proficient in the application of improvement tools and principles (such as Lean, Continual Improvement, etc.).
- Proficient in conducting quality investigations
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Qualifications for the Senior Supply Quality Specialist:
- Relevant Level 5 Qualification or demonstrable experience in relevant STEM discipline and Level 4 Qualification (desirable)
