The role:
As a Senior Stores and Warehouse Operative, you’ll play a vital role in supporting mission-critical defence and engineering operations. Working within our Mission Systems team, you’ll ensure equipment, materials, and assets are safely stored, tracked, and delivered keeping projects running efficiently and supporting national security. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative, customer-facing team where your organisational skills and attention to detail will make a real impact. You’ll build strong relationships, develop your technical skills, and contribute to meaningful work that supports the UK’s defence infrastructure.
Day-to-day, you’ll be:
- Managing the safe storage, handling, and organisation of equipment and materials within the warehouse
- Supporting collections and deliveries, ensuring items are tracked and recorded accurately
- Conducting inspections of storage systems and maintaining compliance with safety standards
- Carrying out disposal activities and general stores support tasks as directed
- Performing Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) on equipment and ensuring compliance with quality and safety procedures
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based by the North Yorkshire Coast. Flexible around core hours 8am-4pm Monday to Thursday and 8am-3:30pm on a Friday.
Essential experience:
- Must possess an adequate knowledge of and compliance with the Health and Safety policy and regulations
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with fellow stores team members, clients and superiors
- IT Literacy of Microsoft Office, i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
- Must possess or be willing to obtain a Forklift driving license
- Demonstrable strong organisational and communication skills
Qualifications:
- Hold or willing to obtain City & Guilds Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)
- Possess a full, UK Driving Licence

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role. Must be Sole UK.
