Working at the heart of our Mission Systems business, you’ll support advanced defence, intelligence and cyber capabilities by ensuring our facilities operate safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. The role:
- As a Senior Facilities Manager, you’ll take ownership of multiple complex sites, leading facilities operations that enable cutting‑edge defence and engineering programmes.
- You’ll play a critical role in maintaining safe, compliant and high‑performing environments while driving continuous improvement and supporting business growth.
- This is a dynamic leadership role where you’ll influence strategic decisions, manage budgets and lead projects that enhance capability across our estate, making a tangible difference to both our organisation and wider society.
Day‑to‑day, you’ll be required to:
- Lead and manage a team to deliver high‑quality facilities services across multiple sites.
- Oversee compliance with health, safety and infrastructure standards in complex engineering environments.
- Manage operational budgets and ensure cost‑effective delivery of facilities services.
- Drive facilities projects and improvements, including upgrades to specialist labs and infrastructure.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and senior leaders.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and you will be required to travel between the 2 sites in Tewkesbury and some travel to site at Manchester. There is some flexibility with home working as needed.
Essential experience:
- Demonstrating a strong technical background in facilities management within complex environments.
- Applying in‑depth knowledge of health, safety and compliance standards.
- Managing building infrastructure and planned maintenance frameworks (knowledge of SFG20 is desirable).
- Leading and developing teams, with the ability to delegate effectively and think strategically.
- Communicating confidently with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders and customers.
Qualifications:
- IWFM Level 3 or 4 qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) (can start with Security Check) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
