The role:

  • As a Senior Design Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Offering a fantastic and rare opportunity to work within a multi-discipline design team, working on new and exciting projects as part of a rapidly expanding organisation.
  • Day-to-day, you’ll be the electrical/mechanical subject Matter Expert to lead the design of a varied project portfolio.
  • Provide cross discipline technical solutions by developing customer requirements and concepts into high quality products, requirements could be via a detailed specification or verbal explanation of a problem that needs solving.
  • Working within a small team of engineers producing detailed specifications, drawings, overseeing the creation of high-quality designs documentation and other technical deliverables through the lifecycle.
  • To support as required in the preparation of estimates, bid documentation, specification, pricing, tender, Gate and proposal documents for new opportunities.

The role requires a good understanding of engineering and design practices as relevant to a design discipline including appropriate CAD skills. This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.

Essential experience of the Senior Design Engineer:

  • Significant years' experience in a similar role, delivering M&E design solutions.
  • Experience in electrical/electronic engineering.
  • Experience in undertaking engineering calculations.
  • Experience in technical document production and configuration control.
  • Experience in creating electrical and mechanical drawings.

Qualifications for the Senior Design Engineer:

  • HNC/HND or Degree in engineering or demonstrable experience in relevant roles.
