The role:
- Lead a specialist team responsible for the safe, compliant, and effective maintenance of survival and aircrew equipment.
- Your leadership will directly impact safety performance, regulatory compliance, and overall operational effectiveness.

Day-to-day, you will be:
- Leading and supervising a team delivering survival and aircrew equipment maintenance.
- Ensuring all activities meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
- Overseeing inspection, testing, and certification of equipment.
- Driving team performance, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinating work to ensure outputs are delivered safely and on time.
Please note that the successful candidate will be required to pass a targeted medical questionnaire and/or medical examination as a condition of employment for this role. This role is full-time, 40 hours per week, based on site at MOD Boscombe Down, Wiltshire.
Essential experience:
- Proven experience in survival or life support equipment maintenance.
- Experience leading or supervising within a technical or engineering environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capability.
- High level of personal responsibility, flexibility, and accountability.
- Knowledge of military engineering standards, procedures, or equivalent.
Qualifications:
- Formal engineering training (RAF Trade Group 13 or equivalent).
- Trade authorisations such as QSEAC or AVMEDSE.
- Additional technical qualifications in aircrew equipment or specialist systems (desirable).

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) security clearance for this role.
