The role
As an Asset Risk Manager, you’ll help drive smarter, safer and more resilient asset strategies across key defence programmes supporting the British Army. This is an exciting opportunity to influence decisions that enhance national security, improve fleet reliability and support the long‑term performance of critical military equipment.
Your work will directly support the Babcock Service Provision and Transformation Contract (SPTC), a major programme providing end‑to‑end equipment support and fleet management services to the Ministry of Defence. It’s a role that will strengthen your analytical expertise, grow your influence and broaden your experience across the defence, engineering and digital innovation landscape.
Day-to-day, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic vision for asset management using data, modelling and insight to guide how equipment is supported across its entire lifecycle.
- Lead the assessment and statistical modelling of asset failure risks to inform decision-making.
- Develop insights and intelligence to support Through Life Equipment Support (TLES) contracts.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the Asset Management team in developing its strategic digital approach.
- Collaborate across engineering, data, commercial and customer teams to improve asset performance.
This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days onsite and 3 days working from home. You will be expected to travel to Bovington and Donnington maybe once a month.
Essential experience
- Using data to identify insights and produce clear, concise business reporting.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Experience with SAP and other business reporting tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting to senior stakeholders.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain a Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
