The role
As a Royal Engineer Equipment Specialist, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of Specialists working on Royal Engineer Bridging equipment to ensure the safety of our nation.

Day-to-day, you’ll help with the maintenance of the Stored Operational Fleet (SOF) Royal Engineer Bridging (REB) and associated REB assisting the Inspectorate of Engineer Resources (IER) in the preparation of REB inspections.

  • Ensure that all RE bridging equipment variants are prepared/repaired to a very high standard to enable the inspection by the Inspectorate of Engineer Resources
  • Keeping accountability of REB components and bridging assets
  • Always provide a safe workplace.
  • Ensure all health and safety policies and equipment operating procedures are adhered to

Please note that the successful candidate will be required to pass a targeted medical questionnaire and/or medical examination as a condition of employment for this role.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Ashchurch.

Essential experience of the Royal Engineer Equipment Specialist:

  • Experience in using hand tools, power tools, and mounted tools
  • Experience in a workshop and/or warehouse environment
  • Knowledge of military equipment would be advantageous

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
