The role:
As a Learning Designer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll play a key role in supporting the 3 Dock Redevelopment programme by creating engaging, high-quality learning experiences that help develop the skills and capability of our people. Working alongside subject matter experts and stakeholders across the business, you'll design innovative learning solutions that make a real impact on performance, capability and long‑term programme success.
Day-to-day, you'll be required to:
- Designing and developing engaging learning content, curricula and training materials.
- Creating interactive learning experiences using instructional design principles and digital learning tools.
- Collaborating with subject matter experts to gather, validate and transform technical content into effective learning solutions.
- Developing assessments that measure learning outcomes and support continuous improvement.
- Utilising learning technologies and emerging methodologies to enhance learner engagement and effectiveness.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week Monday to Friday with flexible working arrangements available. Most work undertaken remotely and occasional travel to meet stakeholders, typically once per month for one to two nights.
Essential experience of the Learning Designer:
- Proven experience delivering results within a complex, multi‑stakeholder environment.
- Experience creating engaging and impactful written content to agreed deadlines.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with a collaborative approach.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience supporting the development of digital learning content, e‑learning programmes or instructional materials.
Qualifications for the Learning Designer:
- A recognised Learning and Development qualification at Level 3 or above, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience using digital authoring tools such as Articulate Rise or similar e‑learning platforms – desirable.
- Experience developing multimedia learning content, including video‑based learning solutions – desirable.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
