As a Materials and Inventory Planner, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Day-to-day, you’ll manage material requirements and inventory planning for submarine projects, ensuring operational demands are met and risks are mitigated:

  • Planning and managing inventory requirements to meet operational demand
  • Attending zonal reviews with production and project teams to identify material risks
  • Interfacing with supply chain, quality, and logistics teams to expedite material requirements
  • Producing material exception reports and supporting risk mitigation activities
  • Providing analysis and insight to influence key decision-making at portfolio level

This role is full time, 35 hours per week on a 3 year fixed term contract and provides hybrid working arrangements.

Essential Experience

  • Experience using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems
  • Knowledge of warehouse and logistics inventory planning and control techniques
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High proficiency in MS Excel for managing large datasets

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI) security clearance for this role.
