The role:

As a Handover Coordinator, you’ll join our Major Infrastructure Projects team supporting the delivery of significant dock, berth and building infrastructure programmes that enable ship and submarine sustainment. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career within a complex and highly regulated environment, gaining exposure to major defence infrastructure projects while helping ensure assets, facilities and systems are handed over safely, efficiently and in a fully auditable manner.

Day‑to‑day, you’ll play an important role in coordinating handover activities, supporting commissioning teams and maintaining the quality and integrity of project documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Your work will directly contribute to the successful delivery of infrastructure that supports UK defence capability.

  • Coordinating the project handover process to ensure all activities are completed in a controlled and auditable manner.
  • Supporting the handover of buildings, systems and assets to end users, including the preparation of handover documentation and certificates.
  • Producing and maintaining handover files, reservation lists, reports and lifetime records throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Arranging and facilitating commissioning and handover meetings, including recording actions and outcomes when required.
  • Managing commissioning and handover documentation to ensure information is controlled, appropriately classified and stored within relevant document management systems.

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.

Essential experience:

  • Proven experience in a handover coordination or document control function.
  • Experience working within an ISO 9001 accredited or equivalent quality management system.
  • Several years of experience in a similar role within construction, infrastructure or a related industry.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders through both written and verbal communication.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ or City & Guilds qualification within the Engineering or Construction industry.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
