The role involves supporting the delivery of civil engineering work packages of one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure programmes supporting naval operations. Day-to-day, you’ll work alongside experienced Project and Package Managers to coordinate planning, cost, schedule and risk activities. This is a great opportunity to build your project management career in a highly regulated environment, gaining exposure to complex engineering projects that play a vital role in national defence.
- Supporting the delivery of civil engineering work packages across the programme
- Coordinating project activities including planning, cost tracking and scheduling
- Assisting in defining project scope, requirements and delivery solutions
- Managing and supporting risk and issue processes across work packages
- Engaging with stakeholders and supporting communication and reporting activities
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
Essential experience:- Experience working within a project delivery or technical environment
- Understanding of project controls such as planning, cost monitoring and reporting
- Knowledge of civil engineering or construction management principles
- Experience supporting risk management and stakeholder coordination
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- ONC or OND in civil engineering, construction management or a related discipline
- Training in risk assessment or health and safety - Desirable
- Familiarity with NEC contracts or project management systems - Desirable
Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
