If you join us, you can play your part as a Survival Equipment Technician at Royal Air Force Cranwell, supporting critical aviation operations through the maintenance and assurance of life‑saving equipment.
The role involves carrying out scheduled maintenance and repairs to any/all RAF Survival Equipment and Aircrew Equipment Assemblies as required to always meet or exceed customer expectations and HADES contractual needs. Day-to-day, you’ll schedule the maintenance of Survival Equipment and Aircrew Equipment Assemblies, as well as:
- Periodic, after use and corrective maintenance of wet/dry drill equipment.
- Maintenance documentation and record to be maintained IAW current regulations.
- Calibration and recording of Torque tools as and when required.
- MOD form 760 and 765 raised and submitted, as necessary.
This is a full‑time, onsite role, working 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Essential experience:
- Experience of Parachute maintenance and packing.
- Experience of Life Raft maintenance and packing.
Qualifications:
- RAF Survival Equipment Course or civilian equivalent.
- Q-SE-AC or Q-AV-MED.
- RAF Flying Clothing Maintenance and Fitting.
Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
