Management Accountant
Location: Rosyth, Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy, GB, KY11 2YD. Onsite or Hybrid: Hybrid. Role Type: Full time / 12-Month Fixed Term Contract. Role ID: SF73603.
Responsibilities
As a Management Accountant, you’ll support the Liquid Gas Engineering business within a high-generate Marine portfolio, operating in complex, project-based environments. This role will be commercially focused, offering real influence, autonomy and visibility with senior leaders.
Day-to-day you’ll be required to:
- Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts with clear variance analysis
- Lead the month-end close process and ensure robust financial controls
- Partner with operational and commercial leaders to explain financial performance
- Maintain rolling forecasts for revenue, profit and cash flow
- Develop financial models to support planning, investment and continuous improvement
This role is full time (37 hours per week Monday to Friday) with hybrid working arrangements: 2 days onsite and 3 days working from home.
Essential experience
- Experience in management accounting within a project-led or engineering environment
- Proven technical accounting capability, including revenue recognition and financial controls
- Strong Excel skills with demonstrated financial modelling experience
- Confidence influencing stakeholders through clear, actionable financial insight
Qualifications
- Professionally qualified accountant (CIMA preferred; ACCA or equivalent considered)
- Substantial post-qualification experience in a management accounting or commercial finance environment
- Sound understanding of financial reporting, forecasting and governance
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
