Coordinate and control airfield support equipment maintenance in a critical aviation environment. At Babcock, we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together. If you join us, you can play your part as an Airfield Equipment Maintenance Coordinator at RAF Valley, Holyhead, supporting vital aviation operations through the effective planning, coordination and control of airfield support equipment maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Planning and prioritising scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities to meet airfield and operational demands.
- Coordinating maintenance tasking with trade team leads and monitoring progress against plan.
- Controlling maintenance documentation, equipment records and transfer paperwork in line with regulatory requirements.
- Identifying risks, constraints and emerging issues, escalating to maintenance management where required.
- Producing planning and performance information to support effective decision‑making.
This is a full‑time, onsite role, working 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday (08:00–16:15).
Essential Experience
- Proven experience planning and controlling maintenance schedules for Airfield Support Equipment or similar industrial plant.
- Experience coordinating scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities within a regulated environment.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
Qualifications
- Engineering‑related qualification such as City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3, BTEC Level 3 or equivalent.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
