Overview

The role As Licensed Aircraft Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a technically proficient individual who thrives in a fast-paced, high-demand engineering environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices while applying their expertise to support complex aviation operations.

Responsibilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities within complex engineering environments, ensuring effective resolution of technical challenges.
  • Demonstrated leadership in guiding teams of technicians and inspectors through maintenance operations, fostering efficiency and high standards.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage confidently and constructively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • A collaborative mindset, actively contributing to team success and cross-functional cooperation.
  • Highly resilient and adaptable, capable of navigating uncertainty and shifting priorities while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory, legislative, and procedural frameworks.

This role is full time working 40 hours per week and is based onsite at RAF Leeming, North Yorkshire.

Essential experience

  • Sound understanding of Ministry of Defence (MoD) engineering procedures and documentation, ensuring compliance with established protocols and standards.
  • Proven ability to apply both practical skills and theoretical knowledge to meet the required engineering benchmarks with precision and consistency.

Qualifications

  • Hold a valid EASA Part 66 B1.2 Aircraft Maintenance Licence.
  • Possess a B3 Licence, demonstrating competency in non-pressurised aircraft systems.
  • Full UK Driving Licence, enabling operational flexibility and support across locations.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS security clearance for this role.
