About the role: As a Vehicle Mechanic, you’ll be part of a skilled team maintaining and repairing military vehicles and electrical equipment. Your work will directly support the UK’s defence capability—making this a career with real purpose and impact. From diagnostics to inspections, you’ll ensure our fleet is ready for action while developing your own skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Servicing, repairing, and overhauling military vehicles and electrical systems.
- Diagnosing, inspecting, and assessing vehicles and associated equipment.
- Ensuring correct use of stores and returning unused or faulty items.
- Creating job cards and requesting materials using ERP (SAP) systems.
- Completing documentation and test certificates to current standards.
- Performing manual tasks such as lifting, bending, using tools or standing for extended periods.
The successful candidate will be required to pass a targeted medical questionnaire and/or medical examination as a condition of employment.
Essential experience:
- Previous experience in a similar mechanical role.
- Experience in a dealership or local garage.
- Hydraulics experience.
- Ability to adapt and build rapport across teams.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 in Service and Repair.
Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain a Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
