As a HSE Advisor, you'll be a trusted safety professional supporting the delivery of critical nuclear projects and operational activities. Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
- Provide expert health, safety and environmental advice across projects and operational activities
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, inspections and investigations to identify improvement opportunities
- Support compliance with legislation, industry standards and company procedures
- Analyse safety performance data, identifying trends and implementing improvement initiatives
- Build strong relationships with project teams, customers and external stakeholders to promote a positive safety culture
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and based in Cumbria. Flexible working arrangements are available with hybrid working options.
Essential experience:
- Demonstrable experience working within a health, safety and environmental role
- Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental legislation, regulations, standards and best practice
- Experience carrying out risk assessments, incident investigations and safety performance improvement activities
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends and develop effective improvement plans
- Experience influencing stakeholders and promoting a proactive safety culture
Qualifications:
- Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent experience
- Membership of a recognised professional body such as the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)
