At Cavendish Nuclear we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Head of Operations, at our Warrington or Leicester site.

The role: As a Head of Operations, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll have the opportunity to lead safety and quality excellence, drive transformative strategies, and spearhead innovative operational improvements across cross-functional teams in a regulated industry. Day-to-day, you’ll ensure safety and quality in all operations. Lead teams and manage resources to achieve goals. Implement improvement programs and cost-saving initiatives. Coordinate with departments to integrate new products and processes. Develop plans to address business challenges and drive priorities.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week, based in Warrington or Leicester. It requires regular travel to sites within remit (Whetstone, Berkeley, Greeson Court, Sellafield) on a weekly basis. The role includes hybrid working with 1 day in Warrington and 1 night away per week visiting other sites.

Essential experience of the Head of Operations:

  • Proven management experience in regulated industries.
  • Ability to engage with customers and meet their needs.
  • Extensive leadership experience with a focus on strategic oversight.
  • Proficiency in project management and lean manufacturing.
  • Self-starter capable of influencing change and fostering accountability.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check(SC) security clearance for this role.
