The role
As our Head of Infrastructure Projects, you’ll be at the forefront of transforming and optimising critical infrastructure that supports the UK\’s defence capabilities. This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll drive strategic change, support readiness for the Dreadnought programme, and ensure the seamless transition of major projects into operational maintenance. Your work will directly contribute to national security and shape the future of defence engineering.
Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:
- Delivering infrastructure change projects that enhance maintenance delivery and operational efficiency.
- Leading readiness initiatives for the Dreadnought and Project Euston programmes.
- Closing out Infrastructure Maintenance CPARs and aligning with compliance teams.
- Managing handovers from major projects into maintenance operations.
- Collaborating with the Asset Management function to embed strategic asset management practices.
This is a permanent, full-time position based at our Clyde site, with 36 hours per week. Hybrid working patterns are available, but regular on-site presence is required.
Essential experience of the Head of Infrastructure Projects:
- Deep understanding of Clyde’s operational outputs and strategic asset plans.
- Strong knowledge of safety management and compliance practices.
- Experience with data optimisation and Power BI for enhanced reporting.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and configuration datasets.
- Commercial and financial acumen, including business process awareness.
Qualifications for the Head of Infrastructure Projects:
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance for this role.
