As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will support the commercial management of projects from contract award through to completion, ensuring strong financial control, effective contract management, and successful project delivery. This role offers the opportunity to develop your career within a collaborative team, gaining hands-on experience across cost control, contract administration, and commercial reporting on essential rail projects.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the commercial management of projects, including cost tracking and reporting
  • Preparing and submitting applications for payment, variations, and change requests
  • Assisting with subcontractor procurement and contract administration
  • Maintaining accurate commercial records and documentation
  • Attending project meetings and helping track risks and opportunities.

Essential Experience

  • Experience in a commercial, quantity surveying, estimating, or contract administration role
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders
  • Basic understanding of contracts and commercial processes.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) or working towards a relevant qualification.
