The role is to deliver essential technical training that equips trainees with the knowledge, skills and confidence to progress in their careers. This is an engaging and rewarding instructional role where you will prepare course content, teach practical and theory-based modules and support learners throughout their training journey. You will play a key part in maintaining high training standards, promoting safety, and contributing to continuous improvement across the programme. The role is based onsite at MoD Lyneham, and the set working times are Monday to Friday, totalling 37 hours per week.
Day to day you’ll be required to:
- Prepare and deliver General Technical Workshop training modules including lesson planning and creation of teaching materials
- Deliver engaging training using technology enhanced learning where appropriate
- Assess trainee progress through written exams, practical assessments and ongoing evaluation
- Maintain accurate learner records, documentation and audit ready files in line with MOD and Babcock requirements
- Supervise trainees, maintain safe working practices and support learner development through coaching and guidance
Essential experience:
- A manufacturing related apprenticeship or qualification at a recognised Level 3
- Relevant industry experience at supervisory level
- Proven experience in a relevant working environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
Qualifications:
- Level 3 apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in a manufacturing related or technical discipline
Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
