Overview
Fleet Operations Manager position at Bovington site. Location: Wareham, Dorset. Onsite.
Role
As a Fleet Operations Manager, you’ll provide professional leadership, direction and management to ensure that the Fleet AFV Operations Department meets all the requirements of the Contract within Combat Manoeuvre Centre (CMC). You will be the lead liaison with Babcock DSG Bovington over the prioritisation of CMC MRO activity.
Responsibilities
- Represent the Fleet Operations Department in liaison with the Authority and other agencies.
- Coordinate the recruitment of staff for the Fleet Operations Department.
- Manage staff expectations and issues at local level.
- Produce reports and statistics regarding Fleet availability, status and performance within the Contract.
- Take responsibility for the health and safety of all colleagues within the Fleet Operations Department.
Essential experience
- Ability to manage resources both human and equipment, in order to meet the requirements of the customer.
- People and team management skills and experience.
- Experience in improvement and/or optimisation activity.
Qualifications
- IT literate with a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Security Clearance
