Compensation: £55,000 – £65,000 (Dependent on Experience) + Benefits

The Role:

  • As a Finance Business Partner, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Joining a high performing Finance team, who are now evolving processes, tools, and approach to reporting, all whilst supporting the delivery of £1bn+ of complex engineering contracts.
  • Day-to-day, you’ll be reporting to the Head of Finance and you will work closely with the Operational teams, drive process improvements and provide meaningful reporting to enable informed decisions.
  • Partnering with key stakeholders to monitor and challenge performance, providing insightful analysis to influence project execution.
  • Developing and maintaining detailed financial models, ensuring key financial controls are in place and operating effectively.
  • Working across the project and functional teams to deliver month-end, budget, and forecasting requirements on-time and to the highest standard.
  • Providing key support to internal and external audits, ensuring financial control and compliance are always maintained.
  • The role will provide a significant contribution to process improvement, including continuous improvement of the team’s processes, controls, and deliverables as we look to maximise automation, strengthen controls, and transform the way we do things.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and requires regular travel to Rosyth on a weekly basis alongside home working arrangements.

Essential Experience of the Finance Business Partner:

  • Ability to bring big ideas and solve complex problems with simple and elegant solutions.
  • Able to continuously champion high performance, are curious, challenge the status quo, actively seek out different perspectives and speak up.
  • Possess a proactive and resourceful attitude towards achieving team goals, whilst building supportive working relationships across the wider business.
  • Strong numeric, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, with experience using modern Excel functions and developing large financial models highly desirable.

Qualifications for the Finance Business Partner:

  • You must hold a recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent / similar.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
