If you join us, you can play your part as a Facilities and Maintenance Team Leader at Seven Park Fire & Rescue Training Centre, near Avonmouth, Bristol.

The role involves ensuring the smooth operation of a busy fire and rescue training centre. Leading a team, you'll oversee facilities, maintenance activities, contractor management, and compliance programmes to keep training environments safe, operational, and fit for purpose. This is an exciting opportunity to combine people leadership, facilities management, and operational planning in a role that directly supports essential emergency services training.

Day-to-day, you will be:

  • Leading and supervising the facilities and maintenance team to ensure the efficient delivery of site operations.
  • Coordinating planned maintenance, inspections, and contractor activities to maintain compliance and performance standards.
  • Supporting the delivery of training programmes by ensuring facilities, equipment, and training environments are available and operational.
  • Monitoring health, safety, and environmental compliance across the site and promoting safe working practices.
  • Managing facilities records, reporting processes, and improvement projects while building positive relationships with customers and stakeholders.

This role is full-time and based on site at Seven Park Fire & Rescue Training Centre in Avonmouth, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Essential experience:

  • Experience leading and supervising teams and operational activities.
  • Experience managing health, safety and environmental processes, including safe systems of work.
  • Experience coordinating and managing contractors and subcontractors.
  • Strong IT skills, including experience using SharePoint and business systems.
  • Experience in project planning and coordinating operational activities.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) / Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
