The role:
- As an Environmental and Sustainability Practitioner, you'll play a key role in driving environmental excellence across a diverse portfolio of construction projects and estate management activities at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
- This is an exciting opportunity to influence sustainability strategy, reduce environmental risk, and help shape the standards that support one of the UK's most significant engineering and infrastructure sites.
- Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
- Support construction and estate management teams to reduce environmental risk and improve sustainability performance.
- Manage environmental permits, licences and compliance requirements across facilities and operations.
- Undertake environmental assurance activities and monitoring adherence to standards and regulations.
- Develop and implement governance frameworks that enhance environmental protection and sustainability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to drive continual improvement across projects and estate operations.
This role is 35 hours per week based onsite at Devonport Royal Dockyard, Plymouth.
Essential experience:
- Experience working within a construction or Construction Design and Management environment.
- Practitioner membership of the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals.
Qualifications:
- Level 6 qualification in Environmental Management, Sustainability Management or a related discipline.
- Level 3 qualification in Health and Safety Management.
Advantageous:
- BREEAM or DREAM experience.
- Environmental investigation training.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
