The role:

  • As an Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary.
  • You’ll work on some of the UK’s most complex and high‑profile engineering programmes, helping to ensure that submarines remain safe, available and ready to deploy when needed.
  • Day-to-day, you’ll build upon your proven communication skills and deliver engineering tasks that ensure submariners and submarines go to sea safely.

Key responsibilities:

  • Delivering engineering tasks that ensure submariners and submarines go to sea safely.
  • Conducting technical investigations across in‑service and future submarine platforms.
  • Reviewing and approving technical documentation including calculations, analysis, drawings and reports.
  • Evaluating technical issues and developing proposals, investigations or engineering solutions.
  • Supporting or driving Integrated Logistic Support solutions and continuous improvement initiatives.

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.

Essential experience:

  • Engineering experience, or a strong desire to start or grow a career in engineering.
  • Demonstrable communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • The ability to influence outcomes and build positive working relationships.
  • A proactive mindset with a drive to own and shape your professional development.

Qualifications:

  • A recognised STEM qualification, or relevant experience in lieu of formal education.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
