The role
As a Commercial Specialist, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Coordinating and managing new bid proposals through the Babcock Gated process, ensuring compliance with all relevant procedures and guidelines.
Day-to-day, you’ll provide strategic commercial expertise to support the efficient and timely submission of proposals, meeting quality standards and contractual requirements.
- Oversee Contract management activities, ensuring deliverables are achieved in line with milestones set and supporting the team with risk identification and mitigation.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers and stakeholders, to align commercial strategies with overall project objectives.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements. Occasional on-site attendance during the initial period will be required.
Essential experience of the Commercial Specialist:
- Experience of contract management including diligent document control, reporting and drafting
- Previous commercial and contract management experience, ideally within the Defence Industry
- Commercial and business awareness
- Previous practical experience in developing proposals
- Demonstrable ability to successfully support and conduct negotiations with third parties, (both internal and external stakeholders)
- Proven adaptability to evolving project scopes and dynamic environments
